Le Mans Trip 2012

Join us for this epic motoring event. Have you ever dreamed of attending the greatest spectical in motorsport the Le 24 Heures Du Mans.

I have lots of information on my Facebook event page, request to be my friend and I will send you an invite to this amazing event. On the event page you will see an abundance of information to help you plan this great trip. Search for Michael Sheavills on Facebook and I will add.

Alternatively please register your interest with me and I will send you more information if you need more, I'm hoping to build this page to give you all the information you need. The trip can be tailored to suit you needs. What you need to book:

- Book you ferry on your desired crossing dates. Most of us are travelling P&O from Dover - Calais on 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th June. Prices as of January 2012 are £90 - £110 for a standard car and passengers. Best to book direct with the ferry comapnies as it's actually cheaper (cuts out the middle man). We plan to meet for a big party at the Chateau de Chanteloup near the circuit on the evening of Friday 15th June, so make sure you are in France and there.

You can choose when you plan to return. The race is 16th and 17th June and I would advise taking the Monday 18th June to relax and unwind after the mayhem of the Le Mans 24 hour weekend ! Most people travel back on the Tuesday or head off to other destinations to continue the holiday. For this year there are a number of people visiting Disneyland Paris for 2 nights on the way back and then crossing back to the UK on Friday 22nd.

Book your accommodation / chateau / hotel / guest house / gite. The majority of us will be camping at the fabulous Chateau-de-Chanteloup:

Take a look at the website, this is a superb facility in the heart of the Loire Valley, simply stunning. You will need to book your camping with the owner Dominique, try and do this as soon as you know for sure you will be going. We have 4 pitches set aside called MR2 VILLAGE, request to camp with us there. We fit 4 tents per pitch which keeps costs down. Tarrifs can be found on the website.
